Leeds United remain determined to sell Largie Ramazani this summer despite the winger's desire to secure a return to Valencia.
The Belgian spent last season on loan at Mestalla and is understood to have made it clear he wants to rejoin the La Liga club. However, Leeds are insisting on a permanent transfer, with no willingness to consider alternative deal structures.
According to AS and Marca, Ramazani has informed both the Leeds hierarchy and several Valencia players that he wants to return to Spain.
Leeds insist on permanent sale
Ramazani is not part of Daniel Farke's core plans for the new season and was left out of Leeds' pre-season squad.
The Premier League club are actively seeking a buyer and have reportedly set an asking price of €8 million.
Valencia have repeatedly contacted Leeds to explore whether there is any flexibility on that valuation or the structure of a deal, but the Yorkshire club are standing firm and will only sanction a permanent transfer.
Valencia divided over move
Although chief executive Ron Gourlay remains keen to bring Ramazani back to Mestalla, head coach Carlos Corberán is reportedly prioritising wingers with a different profile.
Several alternative targets have already been ruled out because of either their cost or suitability, leaving Gourlay to continue pursuing the Leeds winger if no better options emerge.
For his part, Ramazani is said to be pushing hard to make the move happen, but his preferred destination will depend on Valencia reaching an agreement with Leeds.
