Willy Gnonto has reaffirmed his commitment to Leeds United after recent speculation linked the winger with a move away from Elland Road this summer.

The Italy international had reportedly attracted interest from Bundesliga clubs, while suggestions emerged that Leeds would consider offers. However, Gnonto has made it clear he is fully focused on helping the Whites in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old has featured prominently during Leeds' pre-season tour of the United States, with Daniel Farke continuing to involve him as preparations for the new campaign gather pace.

Gnonto commits to Leeds

Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo, Gnonto spoke warmly about his connection with Leeds and his desire to continue his journey at the club.

"Being at Leeds is a privilege. I've been here for a long time, and being in the Premier League is a big challenge."

The winger also highlighted the togetherness within the club and explained why he feels so settled at Elland Road.

"Leeds is such a family-orientated club. Everyone makes you feel so comfortable. I came here quite young, so everyone took care of me, staff, players and obviously the fans."

Gnonto added that he now feels completely at home.

"I feel proper Leeds now. It's been a while, I enjoy every person and every moment here. Hopefully, there's going to be many more."

Ready to fight for his place

Despite the transfer rumours, Gnonto's focus remains on earning regular opportunities under Farke.

The winger admitted he is hoping to receive more chances after playing a limited role at times last season, despite impressing whenever called upon.

With Leeds back in the Premier League and aiming to establish themselves, Gnonto appears determined to prove he can become an important part of the squad.

Transfer links cool as pre-season continues

Interest from Germany has faded in recent weeks, with Gnonto instead playing a key role during Leeds' pre-season preparations.

His comments suggest he has no intention of pushing for a move, leaving the club in a strong position as they continue building for the new campaign.

Whether he becomes a regular starter will ultimately depend on his performances and Farke's plans, but the Italian has made it clear his priority is succeeding at Elland Road.
