Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner has praised his players and supporters after Saturday's 3-1 victory over Manchester City lifted his side out of the Premier League relegation zone.
Jair Cunha opened the scoring before Liam Delap struck twice against his former club, securing Forest's first home league victory of the season.
The result moved Forest into 16th place on nine points ahead of the November international break.
Oliver Glasner praises special City Ground atmosphere
Speaking to Nottingham Forest's official website, Glasner expressed his pride in the commitment and unity displayed by his team.
"It's a very special night. Credit to the players for how passionate they played and for the spirit," he said.
"I really loved the spirit in the team and in the City Ground and the togetherness."
Forest had previously failed to score in four home Premier League matches this season, making their performance against Enzo Maresca's side particularly significant.
The hosts established a two-goal advantage inside 18 minutes before facing sustained pressure after half-time.
Liam Delap double seals crucial Nottingham Forest win
Rayan Cherki reduced City's deficit in the 52nd minute, but Delap restored Forest's two-goal cushion with a powerful finish in the 73rd.
"We needed the third goal and Liam showed his finishing quality with the right foot and left foot," Glasner explained.
The Austrian manager celebrated the decisive goal by sprinting down the touchline as the City Ground erupted.
Delap's brace provided a welcome boost after he had scored just once in his previous eight league appearances.
Glasner credits collective effort over individual performances
Despite Delap's decisive contribution, Glasner insisted that Forest's victory was built on the entire team's commitment.
"No player deserves to be mentioned individually today because it was such a fantastic team effort and all the praise belongs to them," he said.
The victory ended Forest's wait for a home league win and provided encouragement after a difficult start to the campaign.
