Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has delivered a scathing assessment of Omar Marmoush following Spurs' 1-0 Premier League defeat against Leeds United.

The Egyptian forward struggled to influence Saturday's match at Elland Road and was replaced by Dejan Kulusevski after 65 minutes.

Noah Okafor scored the winner in the 79th minute, ending Tottenham's three-match winning streak under Roberto De Zerbi.

Jamie O'Hara questions Omar Marmoush's performances

Speaking on talkSPORT following the defeat, O'Hara questioned whether Tottenham were getting the player they expected when Marmoush arrived from Manchester City.

"Marmoush is like fraud levels right now. Did we sign him from Manchester City, or have we signed his twin brother or something?" he said.

"I don't know who this geezer is; he's absolute garbage."

The criticism followed another difficult afternoon for Marmoush, who registered two shots but failed to provide a decisive attacking contribution.

The forward has scored just once in nine Premier League appearances this season, increasing scrutiny of his form.

Tottenham's winning run ends at Elland Road

Spurs arrived in Yorkshire after consecutive league victories over Coventry City, Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

However, Leeds created the better opportunities and eventually broke through when substitute Okafor scored just 97 seconds after entering the pitch.

Tottenham managed seven attempts compared with Leeds' 16 and struggled to respond after falling behind.

The defeat left De Zerbi's side tenth in the Premier League.

O'Hara also raises concerns over Dominic Solanke

Marmoush was not the only Tottenham striker criticised by O'Hara.

Dominic Solanke replaced the injured Mathys Tel before half-time but was unable to change the outcome.

"Solanke isn't good enough. He's a solid Premier League striker. Spurs need a star up front," O'Hara argued.

The former Spurs midfielder's comments underline growing concerns about the consistency of Tottenham's attacking options.
