Arsenal show concrete interest in Nicolò Tresoldi as Club Brugge resist sale

Arsenal have concrete interest in signing Nicolò Tresoldi but face competition from Atlético Madrid and AS Roma for a striker Club Brugge do not currently want to sell.

The 21-year-old enjoyed an outstanding first season in Belgium, scoring 23 goals and providing nine assists in 53 appearances. According to Het Nieuwsblad, Arsenal remain firmly interested, although no bid has yet been submitted.

Tresoldi has been on Arsenal’s radar for several months. The Gunners were previously reported to have made contact over his situation, with further claims suggesting they could be prepared to offer around €30 million.

There is no formal proposal at this stage, but Arsenal’s interest is described as concrete.

The Germany Under-21 international only joined Club Brugge from Hannover 96 in June 2025. His immediate impact has accelerated his rise, with 32 direct goal contributions during his debut campaign attracting clubs from the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A.

Atlético Madrid have reportedly made contact over the striker, while Roma view him as a possible replacement for Artem Dovbyk.

The main obstacle for Arsenal is Club Brugge’s position.

Tresoldi is described as technically not for sale because the Belgian club want to keep him for at least one more season. He also has three years remaining on his contract, meaning there is little pressure to accept an offer this summer.

No negotiations are currently taking place between Club Brugge and any of the three interested clubs.

However, that position may not be absolute. A sufficiently attractive proposal from Arsenal, Atlético or Roma could force Club Brugge to reconsider, even though no specific asking price has been set.

Tresoldi’s reported market value has risen sharply since his arrival in Belgium, increasing from €9 million in June 2025 to €25 million. Club Brugge would be in a strong position to demand a substantial profit if they eventually open the door to a transfer.

For Arsenal, the attraction is clear. Tresoldi combines strong recent production with significant development potential and already has experience in German and Belgian football.

The uncertainty is whether the Gunners consider him important enough to test Club Brugge’s determination to keep him. Interest alone is unlikely to change the situation.

However, it remains too early to draw firm conclusions while Arsenal have yet to make a formal offer.
