Manor Solomon wants permanent Tottenham exit, agent confirms

Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon wants to leave the club on a permanent transfer this summer, according to his agent Ronen Katzav.

The Israel international has spent the last two seasons away from north London on loan and now believes it is the right time to secure a permanent move in search of regular first-team football.

Speaking to Sport 5, Katzav revealed Solomon's priority is to complete a permanent transfer before the summer window closes.

The winger remains under contract at Tottenham until 2028, but his representative admitted the club is no longer the right environment for his client.

"Next season? I don't like to speculate. We have over a month left in the transfer window."

"What I will say is that the goal will be a permanent transfer, not a loan. Statistically speaking, the last week of the window is the busiest."

Solomon has spent recent seasons on loan at Leeds United, Villarreal and Fiorentina after struggling for opportunities at Tottenham following the serious injury that disrupted his debut campaign.

Fiorentina chose not to activate their €10 million purchase option, leading to his return to Spurs this summer.

Katzav believes the attacker now needs a club where he can become an important player again.

"He wants to be dominant and make an impact, and that probably won't happen at Tottenham."

"It doesn't seem like the right place for him, and they've given up on him too easily along the way."

"The real goal is to find a place where he can play regularly. Manor is a very high-quality player, both mentally and professionally."

Despite uncertainty over his future, Solomon has featured prominently during Tottenham's pre-season preparations.

The winger started friendly victories over MK Dons and Auckland FC, with head coach Roberto De Zerbi continuing to give him opportunities.

However, Katzav insisted pre-season appearances should not be viewed as an indication that Solomon will remain at the club.

"He needs to be given a training camp as a Tottenham player right now."

"The fact that he's starting in friendlies doesn't mean anything, a coach can start with a second or third-string lineup and then mix things up; it doesn't mean a thing."

Although Katzav refused to reveal which clubs are interested, he confirmed Solomon wants to continue his career in one of Europe's biggest leagues.

"I won't mention any specific team by name, that wouldn't be appropriate."

"The goal is to remain in one of the top five leagues, without a doubt."

With more than a month remaining in the transfer window, Tottenham are expected to receive interest as Solomon searches for a permanent new home.
