PSV make Lutsharel Geertruida enquiry as RB Leipzig set asking price

PSV have made an enquiry over the availability of Lutsharel Geertruida as the Eredivisie champions continue their search for defensive reinforcements ahead of the new season.

According to the Eindhovens Dagblad, the Dutch giants have contacted RB Leipzig regarding the versatile defender, although completing a deal could prove difficult because of the Bundesliga club's valuation.

Peter Bosz is keen to strengthen his backline this summer, with Geertruida emerging as one of the club's leading targets.

The report states that PSV have sounded out the conditions of a potential move for the 26-year-old, who returned to RB Leipzig following a loan spell at Sunderland last season.

A permanent switch to the Premier League club had been discussed earlier this summer, but no agreement was reached, resulting in the Netherlands international heading back to Germany after the World Cup.

RB Leipzig are reportedly open to selling the defender, but only if their financial demands are met.
