Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri has emerged as a transfer option for Torino after losing his place in the team during the second half of last season.

The Whites paid £15.6 million to sign the Brazilian from Lyon last summer, but his first campaign in England did not develop as expected.

Perri started Leeds' opening three Premier League matches and initially remained part of Daniel Farke's plans after recovering from an arm injury. However, the 28-year-old made only three league appearances in 2026 and could now be offered a route to Serie A.

Torino consider Lucas Perri transfer

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino have added Perri to their shortlist as they search for a new goalkeeper.

Their priority target is Paraguay international Orlando Gill, but negotiations with San Lorenzo have proved difficult. The Argentine club reportedly increased their demands following Gill's impressive World Cup campaign.

That has forced Torino to consider alternatives.

Perri is now on their list alongside Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle United.

There is no indication yet that Torino have made a concrete offer to Leeds.

Why a Torino deal could be difficult for Leeds

The biggest question is whether Torino can present a deal attractive enough for Leeds to sanction Perri's departure.

The goalkeeper still has three years remaining on the four-year contract he signed last summer, while Leeds would want to avoid taking a major loss on their £15.6 million investment.

A loan with an option to buy could be the most realistic proposal from Torino, but that structure may not appeal to the Whites.

If Leeds decide Perri can leave, they could prefer to wait for a permanent offer or interest from another club willing to provide better financial terms.

Key Points

  • Leeds goalkeeper Lucas Perri has emerged as a transfer option for Torino.
  • The Brazilian lost his starting place and made only three league appearances in 2026.
  • Torino are considering Perri after struggling to agree a deal for Orlando Gill.
  • Aaron Ramsdale is also reportedly on the Serie A club's goalkeeper shortlist.
  • Leeds could be reluctant to accept a loan deal after paying £15.6m for Perri last summer.

What’s next?

Torino must decide whether to continue pursuing Gill or move towards one of their alternative targets.

Perri's lack of regular football could make an exit possible, but Leeds are unlikely to accept an unfavourable deal for a player they invested heavily in only one year ago.

Could Torino give Perri the chance to rebuild his career in Serie A?
