Arsenal star Trossard edges towards Beşiktaş as agent holds talks

Leandro Trossard’s agent has been spotted in Istanbul for talks as Beşiktaş push to finalise a transfer for the Arsenal forward.

Representative Dirk Hebel and lawyer Anıl Dinçer are reportedly in Turkey to work on the 31-year-old’s proposed move, with a critical meeting taking place over the remaining details. Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı is said to be personally driving negotiations as the club attempt to bring Trossard to Istanbul.

Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reports that Hebel and Dinçer are in Istanbul to finalise Trossard’s transfer from Arsenal.

An image shared alongside the report showed the pair holding a meeting at a restaurant with an unidentified third party, providing another indication that negotiations are progressing.

HT Spor journalist Oğuzhan Genç has also reported that a critical meeting is taking place between Beşiktaş and Trossard’s representatives.

The remaining differences over salary and the length of the proposed contract are said to be narrowing, while the Belgium international is increasingly open to joining the Turkish club.

“The player is now warming up to the idea of playing for Beşiktaş; it’s also possible to say that the differences regarding the amount and contract duration are gradually diminishing.”

Adalı is reportedly playing an important role in the attempt to secure the Arsenal forward.

Beşiktaş want to add a left-sided attacker with a proven goalscoring record, and Trossard has become a major target. The club president is said to be insisting on the deal and pushing the conditions required to reach an agreement.

“President Serdal Adalı is quite insistent on the player. Beşiktaş has steeled itself for the Trossard transfer. They’re pushing all the conditions.”

The latest developments follow several weeks of reports linking Trossard with a move to Istanbul while he was away with Belgium at the World Cup.

Previous claims suggested significant parts of the transfer had already been agreed. The presence of his representatives in Turkey now points towards negotiations entering a more advanced stage.

For Arsenal, the latest talks could bring clarity over Trossard’s future after four seasons in north London.

The forward joined the Gunners from Brighton in January 2023 and has provided experience across several attacking positions. A move to Beşiktaş would give him the opportunity to become a central figure in their attack rather than compete for minutes in Mikel Arteta’s squad.

However, the transfer is not complete until the remaining contractual details are settled and the clubs formally conclude the deal.

The strongest indication of progress is the direct involvement of Trossard’s representatives in Istanbul. Combined with Adalı’s determination to complete the signing, Beşiktaş appear to be making a concerted effort to push the move over the line.

Beşiktaş will attempt to resolve the remaining contract details with Trossard’s representatives before finalising the transfer with Arsenal.

The talks in Istanbul suggest the process has moved beyond initial interest, but the deal still requires a complete agreement between all parties. If the remaining financial differences are settled, Trossard could be heading for an Arsenal exit in the coming weeks.
