Fulham winger Kevin believes his impressive first season in the Premier League has put him on course for a Brazil call-up, with the 23-year-old determined to build on an encouraging debut campaign at Craven Cottage.

After adapting to English football, the former Palmeiras and Shakhtar Donetsk winger is now targeting a place in Brazil's squad for the next international cycle following the World Cup.

Kevin believes Brazil chance is within reach

Speaking to Globo Esporte, Kevin said representing Brazil has become his next major objective.

The Fulham winger is convinced that continuing to perform in the Premier League will put him firmly in contention for a senior call-up.

"I really believe that in the next cycle I can be with the Brazilian national team, starting with the first call-ups after the World Cup.

"By maintaining a good level and improving on what I'm already showing, I can be called up."

Kevin made 31 appearances for Fulham last season, scoring three goals and registering three assists, although he admits those numbers need to improve.

"I really need to improve the numbers, add to the good performances and improve the numbers, goals and assists. Then, consequently, the call-ups will come."

"I'm living a dream" in the Premier League

The Brazilian described playing in England as the fulfilment of a childhood ambition.

"I think the Premier League is a dream that I'm living as a player. I always watched a lot of Premier League games when I was younger. Being able to play here today is very rewarding for me."

Kevin also explained how English football has challenged him tactically, with the Premier League's transition-based style proving very different to his previous experiences in Brazil and Ukraine.

He believes the biggest improvement since joining Fulham has come mentally rather than technically.

"What has changed most in me is really my mentality. I've been able to understand the game more, understand what the game demands and also what the manager demands."

Praise from Premier League stars

Kevin revealed he has also received encouragement from several established Premier League players during his first season.

Chelsea's Cole Palmer and fellow Brazilian Matheus Cunha both approached him after matches to praise his performances, moments the Fulham winger admits left a lasting impression.

For Kevin, those conversations reinforced his belief that he is progressing in the right direction as he looks to establish himself among Brazil's attacking options.
