Bryan Mbeumo continued his impressive pre-season at Manchester United by scoring for the second consecutive match as the Red Devils earned a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg.

The Cameroon international cancelled out Ibrahim Mbaye's early opener to help Michael Carrick's side secure a creditable result against the reigning European champions.

Mbeumo strikes again after PSG's fast start

Paris Saint-Germain needed just two minutes to break the deadlock at Ullevi Stadium.

Dro Fernandez delivered a dangerous cross to the back post, where Liverpool-linked Ibrahim Mbaye arrived to convert from close range and hand the French champions an early advantage.

United responded well and found their equaliser in the 32nd minute through Mbeumo, who finished confidently after excellent work from Amad Diallo.

The goal continued the forward's fine pre-season form after scoring both goals in last weekend's 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid.

New faces and injury concerns for United

The match also saw several players continue their preparations for the new season.

Youri Tielemans made his Manchester United debut after coming off the bench for the final 25 minutes, while Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot featured for the first time this summer. Noussair Mazraoui also returned to the starting line-up following his extended break.

However, United suffered two injury scares.

Mason Mount was forced off early with a suspected foot problem, while veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton was substituted after the interval with a hamstring issue.

Attention turns to Leeds clash

Manchester United now head to the Republic of Ireland for a training camp before facing Leeds United at Croke Park.

PSG, meanwhile, will switch their focus to the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa before taking on Lens in the Trophée des Champions.
