Jayden Bogle says Leeds United's ambition made signing a new contract an easy decision, with the redevelopment of Elland Road and the club's investment in new players convincing him that his future belongs with the Whites.

The 26-year-old right-back has extended his stay until 2030, two years after arriving from Sheffield United on an initial four-year contract.

Bogle explains why he committed to Leeds

Bogle has established himself as an important part of Daniel Farke's side, making 39 appearances last season while contributing two goals and four assists.

Speaking to LUTV after signing his new agreement, the defender revealed that the work taking place at Elland Road had caught his attention.

“I was just looking at it not long ago, just trying to envision what it’s going to look like,” Bogle said.

For the defender, the redevelopment represents something bigger than simply improving Leeds' stadium.

“That shows the ambition from the club and that follows all the way through to the players, to the staff, to the fans,” he added.

“I think everyone is on the right path, and it’s something I really wanted to be a part of.”

Bogle's decision provides Leeds with longer-term security over a player who has become a regular on the right side of Farke's team since his arrival in 2024.

Leeds signings convinced Bogle of club's ambition

The stadium project was not the only factor behind his decision.

Bogle also highlighted Leeds' recruitment, including the club's investment in James Trafford, and the quality already within Farke's squad.

“There are so many elements that contribute to you making a decision, and yes, it was an easy one for me,” he explained.

“With, obviously, the stadium, the ambition from the club with new signings, with the squad we’ve already got. Yes, it’s exactly where I want to be.”

His new deal follows Joe Rodon also committing his future to Leeds, giving the club further continuity within Farke's defensive unit.

Bogle set for Nottingham Forest opener

Attention now turns towards the start of Leeds' Premier League campaign.

Bogle has featured regularly throughout pre-season and is expected to retain his position when Leeds travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Farke also has additional defensive options following the arrivals of Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi, who have strengthened the centre of Leeds' backline.

Bogle's renewal means Leeds enter the new campaign with one of last season's regular performers secured until 2030, while the defender himself believes the club's recent investment shows they are heading in the right direction.
