Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed Erling Haaland is fully available for Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

The Norwegian striker suffered a foot problem during City's 3–2 victory over Ipswich Town last weekend and remained an unused substitute in Tuesday's Champions League win over AEK Athens.

However, Maresca has now confirmed that the 26-year-old is ready to return.

Maresca delivers Haaland injury update

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Maresca said Haaland was the only player among City's recent injury concerns whose availability was certain.

"For sure, Erling is the only one 100% available," he confirmed.

Matheus Nunes, Nico O'Reilly and Mateo Kovačić remain doubts, although Maresca indicated all three were making progress.

The City manager said their fitness would be assessed following training before decisions were made on their involvement.

Antoine Semenyo is also sidelined with a knee injury and is expected to miss several weeks.

City looking to extend perfect league start

Haaland's availability strengthens City's attacking options as they seek an eighth consecutive Premier League victory.

Maresca's side have won all seven league matches this season and sit three points clear of Arsenal.

They also recorded a convincing 5–1 Champions League victory over AEK Athens in midweek, with Phil Foden scoring a hat-trick.

Maresca has suggested Haaland, Foden and Rayan Cherki could feature together, depending on his plans for the Villa encounter.
