Arsenal youngster Demiane Agustien is attracting interest from several Eredivisie clubs as the highly-rated midfielder considers his next step in senior football.

The 18-year-old is eager to gain first-team experience and could leave the Premier League champions on loan if regular opportunities under Mikel Arteta prove difficult to come by this season.

Eredivisie clubs monitoring Agustien

According to De Telegraaf, multiple Eredivisie sides are interested in signing Agustien on loan.

The Dutch youth international is expected to begin pre-season with Arsenal's first team, but a temporary move remains a realistic possibility if he finds himself outside Arteta's immediate plans.

The Eredivisie is reportedly viewed as the ideal environment for the youngster to continue his development while gaining valuable senior minutes.

Although no specific clubs have been named, interest from the Netherlands is growing.

Arsenal keeping close eye on youngster

Agustien joined Arsenal from Derby County last summer after previously spending time in West Bromwich Albion's academy.

Last season, the attacking midfielder trained regularly alongside Arsenal's senior squad but was unable to make his first-team debut.

The Gunners remain highly impressed by his progress and will use pre-season to assess whether he is ready to compete for minutes or would benefit more from a loan spell.

Dutch talent looking for senior breakthrough

The left-footed midfielder enjoyed a solid campaign with Arsenal's Under-21 side.

He scored four goals and provided one assist in 23 Premier League 2 appearances, continuing his development after arriving in North London.

Agustien also comes from a footballing family.

His father, former professional Kemy Agustien, enjoyed spells with clubs including AZ Alkmaar, Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion.

A move to the Eredivisie could now provide the next important step in the teenager's career.
