Brentford are reportedly interested in signing Adama Sangaré, the 17-year-old younger brother of summer arrival Mamadou Sangaré.
Africa Foot reports that the Bees have identified the left-winger as a potential addition after he recently spent time on trial with Lens.
Adama is currently with the Junior Élite academy and is waiting until he turns 18 before signing his first professional contract. Brentford are not alone in pursuing him, with Rapid Vienna also interested and reportedly already making an offer.
Brentford enter race for Adama Sangaré
According to Africa Foot, Brentford want to bring Sangaré to England as they monitor the teenager's development.
The interest creates the possibility of Adama joining his older brother in west London.
Mamadou moved to Brentford from Lens for €48million during the summer after impressing in France. The 24-year-old has made an encouraging start under Keith Andrews, registering an assist in the 3-0 Premier League victory over Tottenham and another in the 6-1 EFL Cup win against Birmingham.
There is no indication in the report that Brentford have submitted a formal offer for Adama at this stage.
Rapid Vienna reportedly make first offer
Brentford face competition from a club already familiar with the Sangaré family.
Rapid Vienna are also pursuing Adama and have reportedly submitted an initial proposal, although the financial details have not been disclosed.
Mamadou previously made 50 appearances for Rapid between 2024 and 2025 after joining them from Salzburg, giving the Austrian club an existing connection to the family.
Lens also remain in contention after giving Adama a trial and have not abandoned their interest, according to the report.
That leaves three clubs currently associated with the youngster, but Rapid appear to have taken the most concrete step so far.
Brentford interest remains at early stage
Africa Foot describes the situation as potentially developing into a significant battle for Sangaré's signature, although the available information suggests Brentford's interest remains preliminary.
No Bees bid is reported and there is no indication that the teenager has decided where he wants to begin his professional career.
His age is also an important factor. Sangaré is still 17 and is waiting until he turns 18 before signing professional terms.
The possibility of joining Mamadou at Brentford provides an obvious connection, but Rapid's reported offer and Lens' continued interest mean the younger Sangaré has several potential routes available.
