Arsenal are reportedly exploring moves for Real Madrid forward Endrick and Monza striker Gustavo Varela as Mikel Arteta assesses his attacking options ahead of January.
The Premier League champions have been linked with both youngsters amid speculation surrounding Viktor Gyökeres' long-term future. However, no formal offer has been confirmed for either player.
Arsenal explore Endrick loan deal
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal remain in contact with Endrick's representatives after showing interest during the summer.
The 20-year-old Brazilian has struggled for regular playing time at Real Madrid under José Mourinho, raising questions about his immediate future.
Arsenal would reportedly consider a loan with an option to buy, but Madrid prefer a temporary deal without a purchase clause.
That stance could favour AC Milan and Roma, who have also been linked with the forward.
Endrick is understood to prefer staying at Madrid, although regular football could become an important factor in any January decision.
Gustavo Varela attracts Arsenal interest
Arsenal are also reportedly monitoring Monza striker Gustavo Varela following his impressive start to the season.
The 21-year-old Portugal youth international has attracted attention for his goalscoring form, with Italian reports linking Napoli and other clubs with his signature.
According to Calciomercato, Arsenal have made enquiries about the forward.
Varela's physical presence and finishing ability could appeal to Arteta, although his limited experience at the highest level would make any January move a calculated investment.
No formal bid from Arsenal has been confirmed.
Viktor Gyökeres future adds uncertainty
The reported interest comes amid questions over Gyökeres' role at Arsenal.
The Swedish international has struggled for consistency this season, prompting speculation about a possible departure in 2027.
However, Arsenal have not confirmed any intention to sell him, and interest in other forwards does not necessarily mean a replacement is being sought.
Key Points
- Arsenal are reportedly in contact with Endrick's representatives over a possible loan.
- Gustavo Varela has emerged as another attacking target.
- No offers or decisions regarding Gyökeres' future have been confirmed.
What's Next?
Arsenal will assess their options before January. Any Endrick deal depends on Real Madrid's loan conditions, while interest in Varela remains at an early stage.
