Liverpool remain firmly in the race to sign Allan Elias after fresh reports from Brazil suggested transfer pressure around the SE Palmeiras winger is beginning to intensify ahead of the summer window.

The 22-year-old continues to attract strong European attention after another impressive campaign in Brazil, contributing four goals and three assists across all competitions this year.

While several clubs have monitored the situation previously, Liverpool are currently the only Premier League side consistently being linked in Brazilian reporting.

Liverpool continue monitoring Allan Elias situation

According to ESPN Brazil journalist André Hernan, enquiries and approaches surrounding Allan are increasing as clubs begin positioning themselves before the transfer market fully opens.
Hernan stated that Liverpool’s interest remains active and ongoing.

“It is not new that Liverpool want Allan. The market is starting to open and there are already enquiries and approaches regarding the player.” — André Hernan via ESPN Brazil

The journalist also suggested Palmeiras are preparing for a difficult period as interest from Europe accelerates.

“Palmeiras will have to be very strong, because clubs will come hard for him. He is a player very desired by the European market.” — André Hernan

Having followed Liverpool’s recruitment strategy closely in recent transfer windows, Allan’s profile aligns with the club’s increasing focus on technically gifted younger attackers capable of developing into high-level multi-functional forwards.

Reports earlier this year suggested Liverpool had already explored potential deal structures and secured priority positioning for future negotiations.

Palmeiras determined to resist pressure

Despite the growing interest, Palmeiras are reportedly maintaining a firm negotiating stance.
Previous offers in the region of €30m to €35m are believed to have been rejected, with the Brazilian side determined not to lose one of their key attacking players cheaply.

Hernan also revealed that Liverpool have already made contact through the player’s representatives as part of ongoing exploratory discussions.

“Palmeiras play hard in every sense, whether the contact comes from clubs or through the player’s representatives.” — André Hernan

The final decision is expected to rest with Palmeiras’ leadership and board as interest intensifies throughout the summer.

There is also an important internal factor influencing the situation.

Palmeiras signed former Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Arias earlier this year, but the player has frequently been used outside his preferred role because Allan remains undroppable in the current setup.

That creates a possible sporting solution if a major offer eventually becomes impossible to refuse.

Napoli also linked as transfer race develops

Napoli continue to be linked with Allan from Italy, although reports of concrete bids from the Serie A side remain disputed.

For now, Liverpool appear to be the most persistent Premier League presence around the player.

Much may depend on how aggressively clubs move once the market officially opens and whether Palmeiras eventually soften their position under sustained financial pressure.

What’s next?

Liverpool are expected to continue monitoring developments closely before deciding whether to formalise their interest with an official offer later in the window.

Palmeiras, meanwhile, will attempt to resist early pressure while assessing how far the market is willing to go financially for one of their most valuable young assets.

If bidding escalates beyond the previously rejected €35m range, the Brazilian side may eventually face a more complicated decision than earlier in the year.

Would Allan Elias be the right long-term attacking signing for Liverpool, or should the club prioritise more established options this summer?
