Aston Villa told €45m needed to sign Palmeiras Allan Elias

Aston Villa have seen an opening offer for Palmeiras wonderkid Allan Elias rejected, with the Brazilian club making it clear they have no intention of selling the highly-rated winger this summer.

Villa submitted a package worth around €30 million, but Palmeiras insist the 19-year-old is not on the market and would only consider extraordinary offers.

The Premier League club may now have to increase their bid by at least €15 million if they are to have any chance of changing Palmeiras' stance.

According to ESPN Brazil, Aston Villa offered €25 million plus €5 million in achievable bonuses, effectively making it a €30 million proposal.

However, Palmeiras immediately rejected the approach.

The report claims both club president Leila Pereira and manager Abel Ferreira are united in their belief that Allan should remain in Brazil for at least another season.

The winger is viewed as one of Palmeiras' brightest young talents and an important part of the first team.

Journalist André Hernan reports that Palmeiras have already turned down offers worth up to €35 million, including interest from Napoli.

He believes only a bid in the region of €45 million would force the Brazilian club to seriously consider a sale.

"I can't imagine Aston Villa coming back with €40m or €45m," Hernan said.

"But if someone arrived with €45m, then maybe you have to sell."

For now, Palmeiras remain convinced Allan's value will continue to increase.

The Brazilian club believe Allan has the potential to become a full international and eventually feature at a FIFA World Cup.

That confidence is driving their reluctance to sell now.

The teenager is regarded as a quick, skilful attacker who excels in one-on-one situations and can operate in several attacking positions after previously playing as a No.10 during his academy development.

Palmeiras believe further development and international recognition will significantly increase his market value over the coming years.

Aston Villa's interest reflects their desire to strengthen their attacking options this summer, with Allan viewed as one of South America's outstanding young prospects.

However, Palmeiras' firm stance means Villa must now decide whether to return with a substantially improved offer or pursue alternative targets.

Aston Villa have identified Allan as a player with enormous potential, but Palmeiras are under no pressure to sell. Unless Villa are prepared to move close to €45 million, a deal currently appears unlikely.

Villa must decide whether to significantly increase their offer or switch their attention elsewhere, while Palmeiras remain determined to keep Allan for the foreseeable future.
