Aston Villa’s €35m Allan move rejected as Palmeiras stand firm

Aston Villa have had a significant offer for Palmeiras star Allan rejected after the Brazilian club made it clear the winger is not for sale this summer.

According to Globo Esporte, Unai Emery's side submitted a package worth €30 million, plus €5 million in guaranteed bonuses, but Palmeiras immediately dismissed the proposal as they look to keep hold of one of their brightest young talents.

The Premier League club are yet to decide whether they will return with an improved offer.

Villa's proposal reportedly included €25 million as a guaranteed fee, a further €5 million in performance-related bonuses and a five-year contract for the player, with the option of a sixth season.

Despite the size of the offer, Palmeiras sporting director Anderson Barros informed Allan's representatives that the club have no intention of negotiating a sale.

The Brazilian side consider the 22-year-old a key figure in their plans for the remainder of the 2026 campaign and believe his market value could rise even further.

Palmeiras' refusal is understood to be driven more by sporting objectives than financial considerations.

The club are competing for major honours and see Allan as an integral member of the squad, making them reluctant to weaken the team regardless of the transfer fee on offer.

While Aston Villa's bid would normally command serious attention in South American football, Palmeiras have made it clear that keeping Allan is currently their priority.

Liverpool and Newcastle United have both been linked with Allan in recent months, but Aston Villa are the first Premier League club to make a formal move.

The Brazilian winger has enjoyed an impressive season, contributing six goals and four assists in 34 appearances across all competitions in 2026.

Those performances have only strengthened Palmeiras' belief that Allan can become even more valuable over the coming months.

Aston Villa have demonstrated serious intent by submitting a substantial offer for Allan, but Palmeiras' immediate rejection highlights how highly they rate the winger. Unless the Brazilian club soften their position, Villa may need to either return with a significantly improved proposal or turn their attention to alternative targets.

Aston Villa must now decide whether to increase their offer or pursue other attacking targets. Palmeiras remain determined to retain Allan as they continue their push for silverware this season.
