Alejandro Garnacho could leave Chelsea this summer, with Roma monitoring the winger closely and Napoli also making an initial enquiry.

The Argentina international’s relationship with the Blues has reportedly deteriorated, placing him among the players who could leave during the transfer window.

Chelsea currently want a permanent sale, but their position could soften later in the summer if no suitable offers arrive. That possibility is attracting attention from Serie A.

Chelsea want permanent Garnacho transfer

According to Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho is expected to leave Chelsea in the coming weeks.

The Blues are currently ruling out a straightforward loan and want to sell the 22-year-old permanently.

However, that stance may not remain unchanged throughout the window.

If Chelsea struggle to find a buyer on acceptable terms, they could eventually consider a loan with a conditional obligation to buy or an option to make the move permanent.

Such a development would make a deal considerably more accessible for Italian clubs.

Roma remain alert to Garnacho opportunity

Roma have been monitoring Garnacho for several weeks and their interest remains strong.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Giallorossi are watching developments closely and could make a move if Chelsea change their transfer demands.

Gian Piero Gasperini wants more attacking options, while Roma’s pursuit of Mason Greenwood has become increasingly complicated. The budget reserved for that deal could therefore be redirected towards another winger.

Garnacho is not the only name under consideration.

Dan Ndoye has emerged as another possible option after his valuation reportedly dropped to around €30 million. The Switzerland international also knows Serie A well following his previous spell with Bologna.

Noa Lang and Assane Diao are further alternatives, with both valued in the region of €20 million to €25 million.

Napoli make initial Garnacho enquiry

Napoli are also keeping an eye on the situation and have reportedly made an initial enquiry.

Much will depend on Chelsea’s demands. A permanent transfer could be difficult for the Serie A champions, but a more flexible formula later in the window could change the situation.

Crysencio Summerville and Mika Godts have also been mentioned among Roma’s attacking options, although both would present significant obstacles.

West Ham reportedly value Summerville at around €40 million, while Bayern Munich and Chelsea are among the clubs interested in Ajax youngster Godts.

Key points

  • Garnacho is expected to be available for transfer this summer.
  • Chelsea currently want a permanent sale and are not considering a simple loan.
  • Roma remain strongly interested and are monitoring developments.
  • Napoli have reportedly made an initial enquiry about the winger.
  • Chelsea could consider a more flexible transfer formula later in the window.

What happens next?

Roma and Napoli are likely to wait for greater clarity over Chelsea’s financial demands before making a concrete move.

The Blues currently prefer an outright sale, but time could work in favour of the Italian clubs. If no permanent buyer emerges, alternative structures may become possible.

For Roma in particular, developments surrounding Greenwood could influence whether Garnacho becomes a priority.

Would Garnacho be better suited to Gasperini’s Roma or a move to Napoli?
