Neco Williams contract talks face test after Manchester United interest

Manchester United have registered an interest in Neco Williams as Nottingham Forest work to secure the defender on improved long-term terms.

Williams is already under contract at the City Ground until 2029, but Forest want to reward his progress with a better deal and remain confident he will commit his future to the club.

Williams joined Forest from Liverpool for £12 million in July 2022 and has since developed into one of the club’s most reliable players.

The Wales international missed only one Premier League match during the 2025/26 season, contributing two goals and three assists.
