Wolves are eyeing a bold summer swoop for Jhon Duran as they look to rebuild their frontline following Matheus Cunha’s departure to Manchester United. The Al-Nassr striker, currently earning £330,000 per week, has emerged as a priority for Vitor Pereira’s reshaped Wolves side ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
With Cunha and Rayyan Ait-Nouri already sold for a combined £93.5 million, Wolves need reinforcements quickly. Duran — once seen as one of Aston Villa’s most explosive young forwards — could now be handed a lifeline back to England.
Duran Transfer Update: Shock Move Gathering Steam
Wolves want Jhon Duran on loan as Al-Nassr open door to Premier League return for the £71m striker.
Wolves Desperate to Replace Cunha's Firepower
The loss of Cunha, who bagged 15 league goals last season, leaves a gaping hole in Wolves’ attack. As TEAMtalk reports, Duran is among several names being considered — with Wolves joined by Fulham and West Ham in the race.
Despite his limited minutes in Saudi Arabia, the Colombian still netted 12 goals in 18 appearances and posted elite shot metrics, including 4.20 shots per 90 and 1.81 shots on target per 90.
Why Duran Fits Wolves’ 2025 Attack
Vitor Pereira needs a focal point — someone with raw power and finishing instinct. Duran, 21, has Premier League pedigree and previously wowed Villa Park crowds with seven goals in just 626 minutes.
“Unbelievable finisher with real hunger to prove himself,” said a source close to the club.
