Ipswich Town are looking to continue their summer rebuild by signing Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor after completing the arrival of midfielder Sasa Lukic.

Gary O'Neil has already strengthened his midfield with the experienced Serbia international, but the Tractor Boys are now targeting more firepower as they prepare for the new Premier League season.

Ipswich continue experienced recruitment

Ipswich confirmed the signing of Lukic from Fulham on a four-year deal for a reported £9 million, making him another arrival with extensive Premier League experience.

The 29-year-old joins Issa Diop, Abdul Fatawu and Florentino Luis as players who already know the demands of England's top flight.

However, O'Neil is not finished in the market.

Wilson Isidor targeted

According to journalist Alan Nixon, Ipswich have submitted an offer worth around £14 million for Sunderland forward Wilson Isidor.

The Black Cats striker is also attracting interest from Hull City, who have reportedly bid £12m, while West Ham United are monitoring the situation ahead of a possible move.

Isidor is not rushing into a decision, but Ipswich are hoping to convince Sunderland to sell before the transfer window closes.

Sunderland striker impressed in limited opportunities

The 25-year-old found opportunities limited last season due to Brian Brobbey's impressive form, but still made a strong impact whenever called upon.

Isidor scored six Premier League goals from just 11 starts, outperforming his expected goals figure and showing the clinical finishing that has attracted Premier League interest.

His efficiency in front of goal makes him an attractive option for Ipswich as they search for a striker capable of making the difference in key matches.

Could offer upgrade in attack

While Emersonn has already made an encouraging start to life at Portman Road, Isidor arrives with proven Premier League experience and a strong scoring record at the highest level.

Adding another reliable goalscorer would further strengthen Ipswich's hopes of avoiding relegation during their first season back in the top flight.

Key Points

  • Ipswich have reportedly submitted a £14m bid for Wilson Isidor.
  • Hull City and West Ham United are also interested.
  • Isidor scored six Premier League goals from 11 starts last season.
