Victor Munoz believes the intensity of Premier League football is already helping him develop following his €40m summer transfer to Liverpool.
The Spanish winger joined from Osasuna on a six-year contract after Liverpool beat competition from Newcastle United for his signature.
Munoz has since made five Premier League appearances and scored once as he adapts to life under Andoni Iraola.
Munoz notices major Premier League difference
Speaking while on international duty with Spain, Munoz explained that the physical demands in England have been one of the biggest adjustments.
“I definitely notice differences between LaLiga and the Premier League,” Munoz said.
“LaLiga is a lot more tactical. The Premier League games are more physical. The intensity in training there is very high, you notice that difference. It's helping me grow.”
The former Real Madrid academy player has experienced a rapid rise over the past year and admits he has barely had time to process it.
“Everything happening so fast means I don't have time to fully process it,” he said.
“My family and I try to enjoy every moment... I'm in a good place right now.”
Back with Spain after World Cup disappointment
Munoz was included in Spain’s World Cup-winning squad during the summer but an injury prevented him from appearing during the tournament.
He is now fit again and returned to international action as a second-half substitute against Croatia on Tuesday.
Competition for attacking places remains fierce, particularly with Barcelona star Lamine Yamal among Spain’s options.
Munoz, however, views training alongside Yamal as another opportunity to improve.
“I try to learn a lot from him,” he said.
“He's a good friend of mine, and we spend a lot of time together. Having that competition, seeing him train, it's a privilege for me.”
Munoz will now hope to earn further minutes for Spain before returning to Liverpool, where his adaptation to Iraola’s system will continue.
