Ronald Araújo's agent has rejected suggestions that the defender's performances have declined at Liverpool, insisting the Barcelona loanee remains happy and settled at Anfield.
The Uruguay international joined Liverpool during the summer after losing his regular place under Hansi Flick at Barcelona.
Araújo has since become an important part of Andoni Iraola's side, with Liverpool holding a reported €55million option to make the transfer permanent.
Araújo's agent responds to Liverpool rumours
Recent reports suggested Liverpool were reconsidering whether to activate their purchase option because of concerns about Araújo's form.
However, his representative Edoardo Crnjar has dismissed those claims.
"These are unfounded rumours," Crnjar told 365 Scores, in comments relayed by Spanish outlet Sport.
The agent also indicated that Araújo's development at Liverpool is progressing as intended.
"[Ronald Araújo is proceeding] according to the plan established with the coaching staff and the club's management," he explained.
The comments suggest there is no immediate concern from the player's camp about his role or performances.
Liverpool have €55m option to sign Barcelona defender
Araújo initially made substitute appearances against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest before establishing himself in Liverpool's starting line-up.
Iraola has primarily deployed the 27-year-old at right-back, although he has also featured in central defence.
He played centrally against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup and during Wednesday's 6-3 Champions League victory over LASK, when he scored his first Liverpool goal.
His versatility and increased playing time have encouraged speculation that Liverpool could activate their purchase option before the end of the season.
Previous reports even suggested a January decision was possible, although the club have not confirmed plans to complete the transfer early.
Araújo's long-term future therefore remains unresolved despite his agent's positive assessment.
