Nottingham Forest are reportedly very close to completing a deal for Fiorentina right-back Dodô, with the Brazilian already agreeing personal terms on a four-year contract.
Forest have been working on the transfer for several days and negotiations have now reached an advanced stage.
The remaining obstacle is an agreement with Fiorentina, but the gap between the clubs is small.
Forest closing in on Dodô
According to Viola News, Nottingham Forest are “very close” to reaching a total agreement for the 27-year-old.
Dodô has already given the green light to the move and agreed terms on a four-year contract at the City Ground.
Fiorentina are prepared to sell because the defender has entered the final year of his contract. They want to avoid the possibility of losing him for nothing in 2027.
Dodô has been a regular since arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2022, making 162 appearances for the Italian club.
Only €2m separates the clubs
Forest are currently offering around €10million, while Fiorentina are asking for €12m.
That leaves a gap of only €2m between the clubs.
There is optimism that difference can be resolved through bonuses, which would allow Forest to complete another addition to Oliver Glasner’s squad.
A move would also reunite Dodô with former Fiorentina teammate Nikola Milenković at the City Ground.
