Manchester City could make a €100m move for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo if Savinho leaves for Tottenham.
Manchester City are reportedly ready to test Real Madrid’s resolve over Rodrygo – with a €100m proposal on the table – if Brazilian winger Savinho departs this summer.
According to reports in Spain, City’s offer would be structured as €80m fixed plus €20m in bonuses. The Brazilian forward is not guaranteed a future at the Santiago Bernabéu, and a late-window Premier League scramble is now on the cards.
Premier League Rivals on Alert
Liverpool, Arsenal, and City are all monitoring the situation closely. Liverpool could move if their chase for Alexander Isak stalls, while Arsenal see Rodrygo as a final attacking upgrade – but need to move Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli first.
City’s focus remains on keeping Savinho, yet with Tottenham making an approach last week, Pep Guardiola may already be lining up Rodrygo as a marquee replacement.
“Rodrygo has been a long-term target for several Premier League clubs. If the right chain of events happens, a deal could be triggered.” — Spanish Media
Why City Want Rodrygo
Guardiola is believed to be a huge admirer of Rodrygo’s versatility, with the 24-year-old able to play across the front line. His pace, close control, and finishing ability would give City a different edge – particularly if Jack Grealish also departs.

Analyst Verdict
From reviewing Rodrygo’s last three La Liga appearances, it’s clear he thrives in transition and could complement Erling Haaland perfectly. But the key issue remains motivation – so far, he hasn’t actively pushed to leave Madrid. For City, timing is everything: if Savinho exits quickly, they may need to move before Liverpool or Arsenal make their play.
Key Insights
- City ready with €100m package for Rodrygo if Savinho leaves.
- Arsenal blocked by inability to move Trossard or Martinelli.
- Liverpool’s pursuit depends on Alexander Isak talks.
- Rodrygo has yet to demand a Madrid exit, but loan option is being floated.
What’s Next
City’s hierarchy are expected to monitor Savinho’s situation closely this week. Should Tottenham make significant progress, expect direct talks with Madrid for Rodrygo to open immediately. Liverpool and Arsenal remain in the background, ready to pounce if circumstances change.
If you were Pep, would you push for Rodrygo now or wait until 2026 when his price could drop?

Def a go once Grealish and Savinho leaves. They will probably only sell Savinho if they know they can get something else back for it and Rodrygo fits that profile for City perfectly.
