Leeds United have officially completed a €16 million agreement, according to L'Equipe with Lyon to sign Lucas Perri, with all funds going directly to the French club after Lyon acquired full ownership earlier this year. Perri arrived in the UK for medicals and is set to sign a four-year contract under Daniel Farke. The official announcement is expected imminently

Why This Transfer Matters

With Perri’s signing, Leeds add solidity behind the sticks for their return to the Premier League. Perri becomes the seventh incoming of the summer for Leeds, who have already spent heavily on midfield and defence, while still ensuring sound financial footing under Farke’s strategic planning

Analyst Verdict

Lucas Perri's arrival caps another aggressive transfer window for Leeds, as Farke continues building a Premier League-ready squad. At €16m, Perri is their most expensive signing to date — but the outlay reflects a club targeting immediate top-flight stability. With Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff reinforcing midfield, and Perri bringing competition in goal, Leeds look better equipped to mount a sustained Premier League campaign.

Key Insights

  • Leeds have completed seven signings, spending significantly but avoiding excessive fees.
  • Lucas Perri’s deal is now finalised as they realign Lyon’s finances.
  • Leeds are confident of wrapping up the Perri transfer officially within hours.
  • The club remain committed to smart squad planning under Daniel Farke.
  • Their summer outlay so far hovers close to £70m but well within budget constraints.

What’s Next?

Confirmation of Perri’s contract signing and kit number is expected soon. With pre-season underway, Farke can now introduce his new player during Leeds’ German training camp. The club remain open to additional reinforcements — especially in attack — before the transfer window closes.

Is Lucas Perri the right choice to be Leeds’ No.1 next season — or should Leeds still be looking for a more proven Premier League goalkeeper?

He was good against Man united wasn't he! They've struggled last season with Muslier unbelieveable, I really thought he was the next GK in the world, but unfortunately... Looking forward to se Perri in the PL.
