Leeds United are looking to finalise the sale of Largie Ramazani this summer, with Valencia stepping up their efforts to keep the winger after an impressive turnaround during his loan spell in Spain.

The Belgian attacker returned to La Liga last summer on a season-long loan after joining Leeds from UD Almería in August 2024.

What started as a difficult spell at Valencia CF has developed into something much more important.

Now, both clubs are preparing for talks.

Valencia make contact over Largie Ramazani transfer

According to reports in Spain, Valencia have already opened discussions with Leeds to understand what would be required to keep Ramazani beyond this season.

The 25-year-old joined without a purchase option, meaning any permanent transfer now requires fresh negotiations.

That changes the dynamic. Leeds hold full control over the situation and appear ready to cash in.

Reports from AS claim Valencia chief executive Ron Gourlay is directly involved in the talks and wants clarity before pre-season begins.

That timing is significant. It suggests Valencia want to avoid a drawn-out negotiation and settle their attacking plans early.

Leeds United want permanent sale, not another loan

While Valencia are believed to be exploring another loan arrangement, Leeds’ position looks much firmer.

The Championship side are reportedly pushing for a full sale.

According to Radio Marca Valencia, Leeds have informed agents and intermediaries that they want between €10m and €12m to sanction Ramazani’s exit this summer.

That figure reflects both his recent improvement and his long-term contract, which runs until 2028.

There is already wider interest. An unnamed Italian club has reportedly made initial enquiries, although no formal offer has arrived. At this stage, that club is not willing to match Leeds’ valuation.

Ramazani’s form changed everything at Valencia

Ramazani’s first months back in Spain were disrupted by injury and inconsistent minutes.
But his second half of the season has changed the conversation.

All six of his goals this campaign have come in 2026, with his influence growing under Carlos Corberán.

That run of form has made him one of Valencia’s more effective attacking outlets in recent months.

Those numbers do not fully capture his impact.

His directness and ability to attack space have given Valencia something they lacked earlier in the season.

Having followed Leeds’ loan strategy in recent years, this kind of mid-season surge often changes transfer plans quickly.

Key insights

  • Valencia have contacted Leeds United about keeping Largie Ramazani
  • Leeds want a permanent transfer worth €10m to €12m
  • Valencia are exploring ways to extend his stay
  • An Italian club has also shown interest
  • Ramazani’s strong second half of the season has increased demand

What’s next?

Talks between Leeds and Valencia are expected to continue once the season ends, with Valencia keen to move before pre-season preparations begin.

Leeds’ priority remains a permanent sale, which means compromise may be needed if Valencia cannot reach the asking price.

Other clubs could also enter the race, especially if Ramazani’s form continues into the final weeks.

This remains one to watch closely heading into the summer window.
