Leeds United face Levante and Braga competition for Issouf Sissokho

Leeds United face competition from Levante and Sporting Braga for Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Issouf Sissokho ahead of the January transfer window.

Daniel Farke's side have previously been linked with the 24-year-old Malian midfielder, but Levante are now reportedly preparing an offer worth approximately €3million.

According to Africa Foot, the Spanish club have contacted Sissokho's representatives as they look to secure his signature.

Leeds have previously been credited with an interest in Sissokho as a potential addition to their defensive midfield options.

Earlier reports suggested the Whites had explored a possible move, although there is no confirmation that they have submitted an official bid or reopened negotiations.

Sissokho joined Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2024 after leaving Bordeaux on a free transfer.

He has since established himself as a regular in the Israeli side's midfield, making 14 appearances this season.

His contract runs until June 2027, with an option to extend it for another year.

Levante have reportedly contacted Sissokho's representatives and are preparing an offer of around €3million.

The proposed fee exceeds his €1.7million market valuation on Transfermarkt, although there is no confirmation that Maccabi Tel Aviv have received a formal proposal.

Sporting Braga are also monitoring the midfielder, giving Levante competition for his signature.

Leeds have previously shown interest, but their current position remains unclear.

Sissokho's experience in France and Israel has attracted attention from clubs across Europe, with Levante and Braga now linked with a potential January move.

Levante appear to be taking the most concrete steps, having reportedly made direct contact with the player's representatives.

Whether Leeds decide to renew their interest remains uncertain, with no confirmed offer from the Yorkshire club.

Levante could submit their reported €3million proposal ahead of the January transfer window.

Leeds have not been confirmed as active bidders, leaving their involvement in a potential transfer uncertain.
