Valencia cool Largie Ramazani interest after concerns over attitude

Valencia have reportedly cooled their interest in Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani after concerns emerged internally regarding the player’s attitude and behaviour during the final weeks of the season.

The Belgian spent the campaign on loan at Mestalla and initially appeared to have done enough to encourage discussions over another move this summer. However, recent developments are now believed to have significantly complicated that possibility.

Reports in Spain suggest both teammates and coaching staff became increasingly frustrated during the closing stages of the campaign.

Ramazani endured a difficult beginning to life at Valencia after arriving on loan from Leeds United in August 2025.

Injuries disrupted his adaptation and he struggled initially for regular starts, though his form improved considerably during the second half of the season.

The winger scored six goals between January and April and had reportedly reopened the possibility of remaining at the Spanish club beyond the summer.

However, according to reports from Spain, concerns surrounding his professionalism and tactical discipline have now damaged his standing internally.

Even before the latest developments, reaching an agreement already looked complicated financially.

Leeds United are reportedly seeking a permanent sale, while Valencia had primarily explored another loan arrangement because of budget limitations.

The winger’s contract at Elland Road runs until 2028, leaving Leeds in a relatively strong negotiating position.

However, it remains too early to completely rule out future talks between the clubs later in the transfer window.

Valencia are expected to focus on alternative transfer targets for now while Leeds assess the wider market for Ramazani this summer.

The Belgian’s future may ultimately depend on whether another club is prepared to meet Leeds United’s demands for a permanent transfer.
