Juventus have reportedly placed a €50 million price tag on Khéphren Thuram as interest grows in the midfielder from the Premier League and elsewhere in Europe.

The France international remains an important part of Luciano Spalletti’s plans, but the Italian club are also considering which players could generate significant funds for their summer transfer business.

According to Tuttosport, Thuram is one of the few members of the squad whose sale could immediately strengthen the budget available to Juventus chief executive and general manager Giovanni Carnevali.

That does not mean the 25-year-old is being actively pushed towards the exit. Juventus are instead said to have established the figure required before they would seriously consider opening negotiations.

Juventus want €50m before discussing Thuram sale

Juventus reportedly value Thuram at around €50m and would require an interested club to reach that level before sitting down for meaningful talks.

The position reflects the midfielder’s importance to Spalletti as well as his market value. Selling a regular starter would create another gap in the squad, so any departure would need to provide enough money to finance other priorities.

Juventus are currently working on several areas of their summer rebuild, including their efforts to bring Randal Kolo Muani back to Turin. Raising a substantial fee through a major sale could give the club more flexibility to complete the deals requested by Spalletti.

Thuram therefore represents an interesting case. He is valuable enough on the pitch to keep, but also one of the players capable of transforming the club’s spending power if a €50m offer arrives.

For now, there is no suggestion Juventus will lower that figure simply to encourage a sale.

Five Premier League clubs linked with Thuram

Interest from England is already building, although no club has submitted an official offer.

Sunderland, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United have reportedly made preliminary enquiries about the midfielder. Liverpool and Manchester United are also credited with interest, creating the possibility of a wider Premier League race if one of those clubs decides to make a concrete move.

At this stage, the distinction between interest and negotiations is important. Juventus have not received a formal proposal, and the enquiries from England are described as exploratory.

The €50m valuation may now help interested clubs decide whether to advance.

Thuram’s profile makes the attention understandable. He offers physical presence and ball-carrying ability in midfield while already operating as a regular starter for one of Italy’s biggest clubs. At 25, he also remains at an age where a buying club would expect several peak seasons.

However, it remains too early to identify a frontrunner. Five English clubs may be monitoring the situation, but Juventus’ position will only be tested when one of them turns that interest into an offer.

Turkish interest unlikely to tempt Thuram

Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have also asked for information about Thuram’s situation, but a move to the Turkish Süper Lig is not currently considered particularly attractive to the player.

That could narrow the realistic market if Juventus eventually decide to sell.

Paris Saint-Germain remain another club monitoring developments in France. The relationship between PSG and Juventus is already relevant this summer because of negotiations surrounding Kolo Muani, although there is no indication that the two situations are formally connected.

From Juventus’ perspective, the number of interested clubs strengthens their position. They do not need to rush into a decision and can wait to see whether Premier League interest develops into a bidding process.

The balance is delicate. Selling Thuram would remove a player Spalletti currently considers a starter, but €50m could finance several areas of the squad rather than one position.

That is why the price matters. Juventus appear willing to consider a major sale, but only if the financial return justifies the sporting cost.

Key Points

  • Juventus have reportedly set a €50m price for Khéphren Thuram.
  • The midfielder remains an important starter under Luciano Spalletti.
  • Liverpool and Manchester United are both credited with interest.
  • Sunderland, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle have made preliminary enquiries.
  • Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe are monitoring Thuram, but the player is not thought to favour a move to Turkey.
  • Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping an eye on the France international.
  • No club has submitted an official offer yet.

What’s Next?

The next significant step will be whether one of Thuram’s Premier League suitors turns its interest into a formal bid. Juventus have made their position clear enough: around €50m is required to bring them to the negotiating table.

Until that happens, Spalletti can continue planning with Thuram as part of his midfield. If a serious offer does arrive, however, Juventus will have to decide whether the money available for reinvestment outweighs the cost of losing an established starter.

Which Premier League club would be the best fit for Khéphren Thuram if someone meets Juventus’ €50m price?
