Julian Brandt transfer latest as Real Betis challenge Leeds United

Leeds United's hopes of signing Julian Brandt have reportedly suffered a setback after the attacking midfielder's representatives held talks with Real Betis over a potential free transfer.

While no agreement has been reached, the visit is viewed as a significant development and suggests Brandt's camp are actively exploring a move to Seville.

Sources close to Betis insist the discussions should currently be viewed as an initial proposal rather than advanced negotiations.

Leeds have been heavily linked with Brandt in recent weeks as Daniel Farke looks to strengthen his attacking options following promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites are understood to view the former Borussia Dortmund star as an experienced addition capable of adding creativity and leadership to the squad.
