Manchester United prospect JJ Gabriel is reportedly close to deciding his future after receiving offers from several European clubs, including Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The highly rated attacking midfielder turned 16 on 6 October, making him eligible to sign his first professional contract.
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Gabriel's new agent Ali Barat is reviewing the proposals alongside the player's family, with a decision expected soon.
Real Madrid and Barcelona pursue JJ Gabriel
Gabriel has attracted considerable interest following his impressive performances in Manchester United's academy.
The England Under-17 international scored 29 goals and provided four assists in 32 appearances for United's Under-18 side.
He has also registered five goals and two assists in three matches this season after stepping up to Under-21 football.
Sport reports that Real Madrid and Barcelona are among his leading options, with the teenager particularly interested in moving to Spain.
Real Madrid, managed by José Mourinho, are reportedly prepared to meet the sporting and financial requirements of a deal valued at approximately €10million, including salary and bonuses.
Barcelona sporting director Deco has publicly denied interest, although the Spanish report claims discussions have taken place with Gabriel's representative.
The player's camp reportedly favours Barcelona if the club meets certain conditions.
Bayern Munich face obstacle in United youngster pursuit
Bayern Munich have also monitored Gabriel, with sporting director Christoph Freund previously praising his talent.
However, the German champions reportedly decided against submitting an offer because of the financial demands involved.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the youngster, although their current position remains unclear.
One complication concerns Gabriel's eligibility to move abroad.
Born in England to an Irish father and Cypriot mother, the midfielder may face restrictions on joining a Spanish club before turning 18 unless he qualifies for an applicable exemption.
That issue could influence the structure and timing of any potential transfer.
