Hugo Bueno exit claims dismissed as Wolves stance becomes clear

Suggestions that Hugo Bueno could be on his way to Fiorentina this summer have been dismissed, with fresh reports insisting there is currently "no room for manoeuvre" between Wolves and the Serie A club.

Reports from Italy earlier this week claimed Fiorentina were working on a deal for Bueno, with suggestions negotiations had already begun with Wolves.

Those claims generated optimism that the 23-year-old could be heading to Serie A following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

However, transfer journalist Alfredo Pedullà has poured cold water on the story.

According to Pedullà, there is currently "no room for manoeuvre" between Fiorentina and Wolves, with no negotiations taking place and no agreement under discussion.

The report also dismisses suggestions that talks are progressing, indicating the rumours have been overstated.

Although Wolves endured a disappointing campaign that ended in relegation, Bueno enhanced his reputation with a series of consistent performances.

The defender made 35 Premier League appearances after stepping into the side following Rayan Aït-Nouri's departure, establishing himself as one of the team's more reliable performers.

His displays followed a productive loan spell at Feyenoord, where he gained valuable European experience despite seeing his progress interrupted by injury.

Those performances have strengthened his standing and naturally attracted interest from clubs outside England.

While the Fiorentina links appear to have little substance at present, Bueno's future cannot be considered completely settled.
