Feyenoord are in talks with Wolves over a move for Hugo Bueno, according to reports in the Netherlands. The 22-year-old left-back impressed during his loan spell last season — and the Dutch club want him back.

Wolves haven’t made a decision yet. Bueno could return to Molineux if they don’t sign a replacement for Rayan Ait-Nouri, who has joined Manchester City.

Feyenoord Want to Keep Bueno

Dutch reporter Martijn Krabbendam says Feyenoord are still trying to reach an agreement. They see Bueno as the ideal replacement for Quilindschy Hartman, who just signed for Burnley.

“The talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers about Hugo Bueno are ongoing,” said Krabbendam. “Feyenoord is so pleased with the Spaniard that the stand-in should become the definitive successor.”

Bueno played regularly in the Eredivisie and started five Champions League games. He joined as a backup but quickly became a key part of the team.

Wolves’ Dilemma: Sell or Promote?

With Rayan Ait-Nouri’s departure to Man City, Wolves boss Vitor Pereira may view Bueno as a natural successor. But if Wolves enter the transfer market for a new left-back, they may be willing to let Bueno leave — especially if Feyenoord offer a good deal.

So far, no agreement has been reached, but the Dutch side are said to be pushing hard and remain hopeful.

Analyst Verdict

Hugo Bueno has quietly developed into a Premier League-ready full-back. If Wolves believe he can replace Ait-Nouri, he stays. If not, Feyenoord would snap him up in a heartbeat. These talks will define his future — and Wolves’ left side.
