Arsenal have an important decision to make over Gabriel Martinelli after Galatasaray submitted a formal offer for the Brazilian winger.

The Turkish champions are keen to make Martinelli one of their marquee signings before the transfer window closes, testing Arsenal's willingness to part with the 25-year-old.

Galatasaray make their move

Galatasaray have reportedly lodged a £38 million bid for Martinelli as they look to strengthen their attack.

The Brazilian has one year remaining on his current contract, although Arsenal hold the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.

While the Gunners are open to listening to offers for the right price, Martinelli is not believed to be actively seeking a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal still planning attacking additions

Martinelli's future comes as Arsenal continue searching for another left-sided attacker.

Christos Tzolis arrived earlier this summer following Leandro Trossard's departure, but the club have continued exploring opportunities to add another high-profile winger.

Previous interest in Vinicius Junior failed to materialise, while Arsenal also decided against meeting Aston Villa'svaluation for Morgan Rogers.

If Martinelli were to leave, signing another wide forward would almost certainly become a priority.

Busy end to the window expected

Arsenal are also hoping to reduce the size of their squad before the transfer deadline.

The club remain open to offers for Gabriel Jesus, Reiss Nelson and Fabio Vieira, with player sales expected to become a major focus during the final weeks of the window.

Whether Martinelli joins that list could depend on both Arsenal's incoming business and whether Galatasaray improve their proposal.

Key Points

  • Galatasaray have submitted a £38m bid for Gabriel Martinelli.
  • Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for the winger.
  • Martinelli is not believed to be pushing for a transfer.
  • Arsenal still want to sign another left winger this summer.
  • Player sales are expected to increase before Deadline Day.

What Happens Next

Arsenal must decide whether Galatasaray's offer is enough to consider selling Martinelli. At the same time, the Gunners will continue pursuing attacking reinforcements while working on several outgoing transfers before the window closes.
