Manchester City agree €60m Tijjani Reijnders sale as Al-Qadsiah await midfielder’s decision

Manchester City have reportedly agreed a €60 million deal with Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah for Tijjani Reijnders, leaving the Dutch midfielder to decide whether he wants to complete a surprise summer move.

The Netherlands international has attracted interest from several clubs during the transfer window, but Al-Qadsiah have now moved into pole position after reaching an agreement with City. The transfer will only be completed if Reijnders gives his approval.

According to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Al-Qadsiah submitted a €60m bid for Reijnders earlier this week, with negotiations progressing rapidly.

The latest update claims Manchester City have now accepted the proposal, meaning the Saudi club have reached an agreement with the Premier League champions. Attention has now shifted to the player, who must decide whether to continue his career in the Saudi Pro League.

Reijnders remains under contract at the Etihad until 2030, but reports suggest he is no longer viewed as a guaranteed starter under Enzo Maresca.

Before Al-Qadsiah's approach, both Juventus and Galatasaray had been linked with the 28-year-old.

Juventus were recently reported to have retained an interest in signing the midfielder, while Galatasaray also identified him as a potential target this summer. However, Al-Qadsiah's willingness to meet Manchester City's valuation appears to have moved them ahead of both clubs.

If Reijnders accepts the offer, the Serie A giants and Turkish champions are expected to miss out.

Reijnders joined Manchester City from AC Milan in July 2025 and made an encouraging start to life in England, finishing his debut campaign with seven goals and eight assists in 50 appearances across all competitions.

Despite those numbers, his influence declined during the second half of the season, leading to continued speculation over his future.

City have already strengthened their midfield with the signing of Elliot Anderson and continue to make progress in their pursuit of Lille youngster Ayyoub Bouaddi. Reports have also linked Maresca's side with Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández.

Those developments suggest Manchester City are prepared to reshape their midfield options this summer, with Reijnders no longer considered untouchable despite only arriving a year ago. However, until the player makes his decision, the proposed transfer remains subject to his approval.

The next stage of the deal depends entirely on Reijnders' response to Al-Qadsiah's proposal. Should the Netherlands international agree personal terms, the transfer is expected to be finalised quickly after the clubs reached an agreement. If he declines the move, Juventus and Galatasaray could yet receive another opportunity to pursue the midfielder before the transfer window closes.
