Juventus move to secure Francisco Conceição future with new contract

Juventus are reportedly planning a new contract for Francisco Conceição as they look to secure the Portuguese winger's long-term future in Turin.

The 23-year-old is already tied to Juventus until June 2030, meaning there is no immediate contractual pressure on the Italian club.

However, after establishing himself as an important player, Juventus are keen to reward Conceição and protect themselves against potential future interest.

According to Foot Mercato, Juventus have identified new contracts for Conceição and Pierre Kalulu as two of their priorities following the summer transfer window.

The focus has shifted towards maintaining the core of Luciano Spalletti's squad after another significant recruitment drive.

Conceição's existing contract still has almost four years remaining, but Juventus do not appear willing to wait before addressing his future.

The Portugal international contributed four goals and five assists in 26 Serie A appearances last season, underlining his importance in the final third.

His creativity, dribbling and ability to create something in one-on-one situations have made him an increasingly valuable part of the Juventus attack.

The decision is also designed to put Juventus in a stronger position if major European clubs show interest.

Conceição has previously attracted attention elsewhere, and Juventus clearly want to avoid uncertainty developing around one of their most dangerous attacking players.

It is a similar situation with Kalulu.

The French defender is contracted until 2029 but attracted interest from Premier League clubs and Paris Saint-Germain during the summer.

Juventus now want to secure both players as part of their longer-term project.

A contract until 2030 already gives them significant protection.

Instead, a renewal would demonstrate just how highly Conceição is now regarded in Turin while potentially improving the club's position should serious transfer interest arrive in the future.

After spending heavily to strengthen Spalletti's squad, Juventus now appear determined to ensure their most important existing players remain part of the project.

For Conceição, that could mean another long-term commitment to Turin is already being discussed.
