Filip Jörgensen nears Chelsea exit as Strasbourg lead race

Filip Jörgensen has left Chelsea's pre-season tour as he moves closer to completing a summer transfer, with sister club Strasbourg currently leading the race for the goalkeeper's signature.

However, Strasbourg currently appear to be in pole position as the Danish goalkeeper prioritises regular first-team football after struggling for opportunities at Stamford Bridge.

The goalkeeper is understood to believe his development depends on playing consistently, something Chelsea cannot currently guarantee.

Head coach Xabi Alonso has reportedly not been fully convinced by the former Villarreal goalkeeper, leaving Jörgensen facing limited opportunities if he remains at Stamford Bridge.
