Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler has warned his players that they cannot afford to underestimate Jablonec when the two sides meet in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday.
The Seagulls travel to the Czech Republic sitting third in the Premier League after an impressive start to the season.
They also began their Conference League campaign with a convincing 4-0 victory over Kauno Žalgiris last week, but Hürzeler insists domestic form and reputation will count for little without the right attitude.
Hürzeler demands full commitment from Brighton
Speaking ahead of the match at Stadion Střelnice, Hürzeler stressed that facing Premier League opposition would be a major occasion for Jablonec.
The Brighton boss warned his squad against approaching the fixture with anything less than complete commitment.
"For a lot of opponents, playing us might be the game of their lives," Hürzeler said.
"Our mindset has to be right. If you think 90% is enough, you have no chance."
The German also challenged every member of his squad to maintain the standards that have underpinned Brighton's early-season performances.
"The mindset must be that this is another great opportunity to show our principles, style of play and standards," he added.
"Every individual must go onto the pitch wanting to play the best game of their life."
Brighton have made an impressive start in both domestic and European competition, but Hürzeler believes their approach must remain consistent regardless of the opposition.
Jablonec's Rangers victory provides warning
Jablonec have already demonstrated their ability to compete against established European opponents.
The Czech side eliminated Rangers in August's Conference League play-offs, winning 4-3 on penalties after the two-legged tie finished 1-1 on aggregate.
They also pushed Freiburg in their opening league-phase match last Thursday, eventually losing 3-2 in Germany.
Hürzeler highlighted both performances when discussing the challenge awaiting his team.
"We know we have to play at our highest level. Jablonec won against Rangers and played a really good game last week against Freiburg," he said.
"They are a team that try to build from the back. They want to play football."
The Brighton manager expects Jablonec to show ambition in possession rather than simply sit deep and defend.
Brighton face demanding run of away fixtures
Thursday's match begins a sequence of five consecutive away games for Brighton, with a Premier League trip to Liverpool following on Sunday.
Hürzeler is expected to make changes to his starting line-up as he manages the demands of competing on several fronts.
The Seagulls will nevertheless be looking to build on their 4-0 opening victory over Kauno Žalgiris and maintain their positive start to the Conference League.
