Everton transfer target Esmir Bajraktarevic produced an impressive performance as PSV Eindhoven beat Porto 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, with reports suggesting the Toffees had scouts in attendance.
The 21-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international was one of PSV's standout performers at the Estádio do Dragão, hitting the post and helping create the winning goal for Guus Til.
Everton have previously been linked with Bajraktarevic, with Sport Witness reporting in April that the club had submitted an offer following a scouting trip to watch the winger.
Bajraktarevic impresses in PSV victory over Porto
Bajraktarevic caused problems for Porto's defence throughout the match and played an important part in PSV's winning goal in the 57th minute.
The winger dispossessed Zaidu Sanusi before carrying the ball forward and finding Sven Mijnans, whose pass set up Til to score.
Bajraktarevic also struck the post and forced goalkeeper Diogo Costa into a save with a low shot.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola awarded him 8/10, the joint-highest rating alongside match-winner Til.
The publication highlighted the difficulties Bajraktarevic caused Zaidu, who was making his first appearance after eight weeks out.
Everton previously made offer for PSV winger
Everton's interest in Bajraktarevic was reported earlier this year.
In April, Sport Witness cited Bosnian outlet SportSport as claiming that Everton had sent scouts to watch PSV's 6-1 victory over PEC Zwolle.
Bajraktarevic scored twice and provided three assists in that match, reportedly convincing Everton to submit a concrete offer ahead of the summer transfer window.
The proposed move did not materialise, with the winger remaining at PSV.
Sport Witness also reported that Everton sent a representative to Porto's Champions League meeting with Manchester City in September, although the identity of the player being monitored was not established.
There is no confirmation that Everton have renewed negotiations for Bajraktarevic or that he was the specific subject of their reported scouting visit on Tuesday.
