Douglas Luiz’s move to Juventus has been far from smooth — and now, a sensational return to Aston Villa may be on the cards.
According to Tuttosport, Villa have made contact over bringing the Brazilian midfielder back to Birmingham. After a miserable spell in Turin, it could be the lifeline Luiz needs — and a move Monchi has already teased as “possible” months ago.
Monchi: “I Would Always Take Douglas Back”
“He’s a playmaker. Every ball that comes out of his feet makes sense. I would always take Douglas back, for any club. He’s very strong.” — Monchi, Sporting Director, Aston Villa
Those comments came during the winter window. But now, with Juventus willing to sell and Luiz open to leaving, the idea suddenly feels real.

Luiz arrived in Italy with high expectations, but quickly found himself under scrutiny.
