Napoli have launched a €50m bid to sign Darwin Nunez from Liverpool, with the striker open to a move to Serie A if the two clubs can agree terms.

The Reds are holding out for a total package closer to €60m, but with Nunez ready to move and Victor Osimhen set to leave, Napoli could strike quickly.

Liverpool Ready to Sell — for the Right Price

Arne Slot has yet to fully embrace Nunez, who struggled for consistent minutes towards the end of last season. With the Dutch manager shaping his team differently, the Uruguayan could be sacrificed.

“Napoli have submitted a formal offer and Nunez has given his green light,” — Gianluca Di Marzio

Liverpool won’t accept less than €60m, but Napoli’s current bid is not far off: €50m plus €5m in performance-related bonuses.

Why Napoli Want Darwin Nunez

Antonio Conte is reshaping Napoli's forward line. Osimhen is on his way out, and Romelu Lukaku’s future remains uncertain beyond this season. Nunez — despite his mixed spell at Liverpool — is seen as a powerful, dynamic fit for Conte’s system.

Nunez offers pace, aggression, and pressing power. He’s far from clinical but creates chaos in the final third — something Napoli lost when Osimhen fell out with the club.

Darwin Nunez Premier League Stats

Our Analyse

Darwin Nunez is not the 25-goal striker Liverpool hoped for — but under Conte’s tactical setup at Napoli, he could thrive in a more counter-attacking, direct system. This move suits all parties, provided Napoli push up their bid.

Key Statement

  • Napoli submit €50m + €5m bid for Darwin Nunez
  • Liverpool demand closer to €60m
  • Nunez gives ‘green light’ to Serie A move
  • Conte sees Nunez as ideal Osimhen replacement

What’s Next?

Talks are ongoing. If Napoli raise their offer, the deal could move quickly. If not, Lorenzo Lucca of Udinese is ready as an alternative — but Nunez remains the top target.

Should Liverpool cash in on Darwin Nunez now — or give him one more season under Arne Slot?
