Bournemouth revive €30m Luis Henrique move as Inter situation changes

Bournemouth have reportedly revived their interest in Inter winger Luis Henrique, months after a January move failed to materialise.

The Cherries previously explored a deal for the Brazilian when Inter were attempting to sign João Cancelo. However, Cancelo eventually joined Barcelona and the Italian club were left without a replacement, effectively ending Bournemouth’s hopes.

That situation could now be different.

According to Sportitalia, Bournemouth have renewed their interest in Luis Henrique as Inter reshape the right side of their squad following Denzel Dumfries’ departure.

Inter previously valued Luis Henrique at between €25m and €30m, but were unwilling to sell in January without first securing a replacement.

Bournemouth are now back in the picture, with the Serie A champions actively pursuing new options for the right flank.

Inter are currently working on a deal for Union Saint-Gilloise wing-back Anan Khalaili. Their opening €20m offer was rejected, with the Belgian club demanding at least €30m.

A new proposal worth €23m plus bonuses has reportedly been submitted, although the two clubs remain apart.

Inter are also considering Strasbourg defender Guela Doué as an alternative.

Those moves could be significant for Bournemouth. If Inter sign a new right-sided player, Luis Henrique may finally be allowed to leave.

The main difference from January is that Inter are now actively rebuilding the position.

Dumfries has already left, while the Italian champions could potentially sign more than one player if Bournemouth make a serious move for Luis Henrique.

The Cherries already know Inter’s previous valuation of €25m to €30m. It remains unclear whether they are prepared to meet that figure, but renewed contact suggests their interest has not disappeared.

No formal offer has been reported yet.

For Bournemouth, the opportunity may depend on Inter first making progress with Khalaili or Doué. Once a replacement is secured, negotiations for Luis Henrique could become much easier.

Bournemouth must decide whether to turn their renewed interest into a formal offer.

Inter’s search for new wing-backs could make a deal more realistic than it was in January, when the Italian club refused to sell without a replacement. If progress is made for Khalaili or Doué, Bournemouth may finally get their opportunity to sign Luis Henrique.
