Aston Villa's hopes of signing Real Madrid forward Endrick remain alive despite his representatives playing down the possibility of a January departure.

The 20-year-old Brazilian has struggled for playing time this season, making just four minutes of La Liga appearances, but his agency insists his priority remains succeeding at the Bernabéu.

Endrick's agent addresses Aston Villa interest

Villa have reportedly emerged as leading contenders to sign Endrick, whose limited opportunities at Real Madrid have fuelled speculation about another move.

Speaking to AdnKronos, RocNation's Head of Football, Alan Redmond, explained that sporting opportunities matter more to the Brazilian than financial considerations.

“The financial aspect isn’t important; the player evaluates the club’s project,” Redmond said.

He also pointed to Endrick's successful loan spell at Lyon, although physical problems subsequently disrupted the forward's progress.

Despite acknowledging interest from elsewhere, Redmond maintained that the player's preference remains Madrid.

“The clubs mentioned are fantastic, but I don’t think he’ll go play anywhere else,” he said.

He added that he personally expects Endrick to remain at Real Madrid for years.

Why Aston Villa could still have an opportunity

Redmond's comments represent a setback for Villa's immediate hopes, but Endrick's lack of minutes remains a significant factor.

The Brazilian previously left Madrid temporarily to gain regular football at Lyon, demonstrating that a loan move is possible even when his long-term ambition is to succeed in Spain.

Unai Emery's side could offer a route to more consistent Premier League opportunities if Madrid reconsider their position.

A permanent deal with a buyback clause has also been suggested as a possible arrangement, although there is no indication that Madrid have proposed those terms.

For now, Villa's interest remains speculative, and Endrick's representatives have given no indication that a January move is being actively pursued.
