Arsenal suffered a humiliating Carabao Cup exit on Tuesday night, losing 5–3 on penalties to League Two side Fleetwood Town after a 1–1 draw at Highbury Stadium.

Kai Havertz endured a particularly difficult evening, receiving a 1/10 rating from the Evening Standard, while Max Dowman's red card added to Mikel Arteta's problems.

Fleetwood's victory sent them into the quarter-finals for the first time in their history.

Havertz handed 1/10 after Arsenal struggles

Matt Verri of the Evening Standard gave Havertz the lowest rating of any Arsenal player after the German missed several promising opportunities.

Havertz wasted a first-half headed chance and failed to convert another opening created by Martin Ødegaard after the break.

Viktor Gyökeres also struggled against Fleetwood's defence despite scoring Arsenal's equaliser, earning a 3/10 rating.

The hosts had taken the lead through Aaron Loupalo-Bi in the 21st minute before Gyökeres levelled shortly after half-time.

Arsenal's task became more difficult when 16-year-old Max Dowman was shown a straight red card for kicking out following a challenge by Harrison Neal.

Dowman received 2/10 despite providing much of Arsenal's attacking threat during the first half.
