Arsenal are reportedly intensifying their interest in RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa ahead of the January transfer window, but the German club's €70million valuation could complicate a potential deal.

The Premier League side have identified the 21-year-old Norway international as an attacking target following his impressive start to the Bundesliga season.

According to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Arsenal previously made enquiries with a view to spending no more than €55million, leaving a €15million difference between their initial valuation and Leipzig's reported demands.

Arsenal face €15m gap in Antonio Nusa valuation

Arsenal have been monitoring Nusa and are reportedly considering whether to pursue a transfer during the January window.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Leipzig want €70million for the winger and currently appear unwilling to reduce their valuation.

The Gunners made enquiries in recent weeks, initially assessing a deal worth no more than €55million.

However, the Italian report suggests Arsenal's interest is gathering momentum and that the club could consider increasing the amount it is prepared to spend.

No formal bid or agreement between the clubs has been confirmed.

Leipzig signed Nusa from Club Brugge in August 2024 and have him under contract until June 2029, strengthening their position in any potential negotiations.

Nusa impressing with RB Leipzig this season

Nusa has enjoyed a productive start to the 2026/27 campaign, establishing himself as an important attacking player for Leipzig.

The Norwegian has scored three goals and provided five assists in seven Bundesliga appearances.

Across all competitions, he has recorded four goals and six assists in 12 matches.

His performances have highlighted his ability to contribute both goals and chances from wide positions.

Nusa's pace, dribbling and versatility make him an attractive prospect for clubs seeking additional attacking options.

Arsenal are reportedly confident they could persuade the winger to move to London, although there is no confirmation that personal terms have been discussed.

Arsenal interest follows previous Roma approach

Arsenal are not the first major European club to consider signing Nusa.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma explored a potential move during the summer transfer window but failed to reach an agreement.

Leipzig have also shown their willingness to demand substantial fees for emerging attacking players, with the Italian report highlighting Yan Diomande's €140million move to Real Madrid.

Nusa's long-term contract means Leipzig are under no immediate contractual pressure to sell.

For Arsenal, the central question is whether they are prepared to move closer to the Bundesliga club's reported valuation or continue assessing alternative targets.
