Ipswich Town have made an approach for Sassuolo winger Armand Laurienté as Gary O'Neil continues his search for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new Premier League season.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Gianluigi Longari, the newly promoted Premier League side have enquired about the 27-year-old, who has also attracted interest from several Turkish clubs this summer.

However, Sassuolo are expected to demand around €30 million before considering a sale.

Ipswich register interest

The report states Ipswich have made contact to explore the conditions of a possible move for Laurienté.

The versatile French attacker is capable of playing on either wing and can also operate as a false nine, making him an attractive option as O'Neil looks to add greater depth and flexibility to his forward line.

No formal offer has yet been submitted, with discussions currently at an exploratory stage.

Turkish clubs also in the race

Laurienté has been heavily linked with a move away from Sassuolo throughout the summer.

Besiktas were previously reported to be close to signing the winger, while fellow Turkish clubs Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor have also monitored his situation.

Despite the growing interest, no club has yet managed to reach an agreement with Sassuolo.

Sassuolo stand firm on valuation

Sassuolo are understood to value Laurienté at around €30 million after the winger recently signed a new contract with the Serie A club.

The Italian side originally signed him from FC Lorient in 2022 for an initial fee of €10.1 million plus bonuses, with the agreement including a clause that entitles the French club to 20 per cent of any future profit from his sale.

Laurienté has gone on to score 38 goals and provide 27 assists in 141 appearances for Sassuolo, establishing himself as one of the club's most influential attacking players.
