West Ham Jadon Sancho Transfer 2025 rumours are heating up as the Hammers prepare for a big summer rebuild. With Mohammed Kudus likely to depart, Sancho has emerged as a priority — but there’s a catch.
Sancho, who spent part of last season at Chelsea, could be available for as little as £25m from Manchester United. Yet despite Chelsea’s interest, the deal collapsed due to his refusal to reduce his hefty wage packet.
Now West Ham are watching closely. They want a marquee winger to replace Kudus, and Sancho fits the bill — if his salary demands fall in line.
West Ham Jadon Sancho Transfer 2025 could hinge on wages — Man Utd want a sale, and the Hammers are ready to move if Sancho lowers demands.
Why West Ham Want Jadon Sancho
Sancho’s stint at Chelsea proved he still has moments of brilliance. Despite limited starts, he offered glimpses of the player who once lit up the Bundesliga. His dribbling and final-third intelligence are exactly what Graham Potter’s West Ham need after finishing deep in the bottom half of the Premier League.
Potter wants wide attackers who can unlock games — and Sancho, with the right motivation and system, could become that player again.
Could Kudus' Exit Fund the Deal?
Mohammed Kudus is being monitored by top clubs across Europe, and a sale could bring in over £50m. That would help ease any concerns about financing the Sancho move — but again, wages remain the issue.
West Ham can afford the fee. It’s the £300,000-a-week contract United are desperate to shift that causes problems.
| Stat (2024/25) | Jadon Sancho | Mohammed Kudus |
|---|---|---|
| Goals | 4 | 10 |
| Assists | 3 | 7 |
| Chances Created | 29 | 41 |
| Successful Dribbles | 36 | 48 |
Key points
- West Ham targeting Sancho as Kudus replacement
- Chelsea couldn’t secure Sancho due to wage issues
- Sancho open to a move — but must lower salary
- Man Utd want a permanent transfer this summer
What’s Next for West Ham?
The Hammers are also targeting defensive reinforcements and a striker, but the West Ham Jadon Sancho Transfer 2025chase is front and centre. If Kudus leaves early in the window, West Ham could move fast — assuming Sancho cooperates on the wage front.
Will Sancho be West Ham's marquee summer signing or will wage demands end talks?

This could be fun fit for both parties. I think Jadon likes London and West Ham seems to be able to offer him actually minutes to play with probably paying 50% of his wages while he still gets that United money
